On Monday we had a huge windstorm. Tuesday the kids and I picked up broken branches, and swept up scores of pine needles. But us city folk never thought to take a look in the orchard.
Our neighbor came by yesterday to let us know that we lost a tree. Sad for the tree, but a little firewood to add to our burn pile is a consolation.
Oh, and a new game! Almond tag. You take all the almonds you can off of the down tree and you pelt your sister and brother with them!
Great fun, I took a walk and came back. They were still at it. They're looking forward to more Almond tag today!

Save some almonds for the cousins, they're gonna want in on that!
