Are You My Mother?

This is the third set of baby birds since we've lived here (March '08). These babes seem very bold, they're the first ones I could get a picture of. Their loving mommy and daddy work all day to feed them!

A Birdhouse/Feeder

It began yesterday at the local Home school Swap Meet. A book for $0.50. Would Bret be interested? He was on the play ground watching over Lilly and hanging out with friends. I made the decision for him. It turns out he was very interested, and went right to work while his couch potato siblings took a rest in front of the T.V. (they have colds right now so it's ok)
After about an hour, we both realized someone bigger and smarter than I am would need to be involved. Dad came home and gave Bret a few tips and tools. Bret was back to work.
Measuring, sawing, and pounding!
The wood was thin and some splitting occurred.

Dad stepped in for a bit, and had some new ideas for tomorrow. Time for bed!
Bret was back at his project early this morning. They decided to screw the birdhouse together.
Almost finished!
A job well done!
